Miss. Bhavna Sharma did her Specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Wales, London and East Anglia and was awarded CCT in 2006. She has had broad based extensive training with a few of the eminent doctors in the specialty and has worked at a Consultant level in tertiary hospitals in the country including Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital. She has published extensively in the Obstetrics and Gynecology field and presented her work at various national and international meetings. She has an extensive clinical and surgical experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has obtained specialist skills training in all aspects of women’s health Ultrasound scanning, Hysteroscopic procedures, management of high risk pregnancies and medical disorders in pregnancy.
She is a substantive consultant in University Hospital Lewisham (Lewisham and Greenwich Healthcare NHS Trust). She has been the lead clinician for the Labour Ward & risk and governance. She also holds an honorary consultant contract at King’s College Hospital and is an educational supervisor for Gynaecology trainees and OSCE examiner of final year medical students at King’s College. She has been the Royal College Representative for SHOT Committee (Serious Hazards of Transfusion), UK. In addition she is also a Royal College Examiner for MRCOG (Membership of Royal College) examination and a Specialist advisor to CQC.
